Sierra Mar BPW District’s Annual Conference will be Saturday, April 19th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2009 S. Garfield Avenue, Monterey Park starting at 8:45 registration and 9:00 A.M. with a memorial service for members who have passed away since the last Annual Conference. The meeting starts at 9:15 A.M. Saturday, April 26, 2025 9:00 A.M. with Call to order at 9:30 A.M. – Valley Sunset Annual Conference on Housing Security at Burbank First United Methodist Church, 700 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA 91502 and on Zoom. Valley Sunset’s Members-at-Large are the hostesses.  State Rep is Linda Wilson, CFBPW Website Coordinator. Morning Speaker is Carrie Prado, Director of Programs, Home Again Los Angeles (HALA).  HALA’s mission statement is “Ending Homelessness One Family at a Time.” Carrie will speak about their experience and update us on HALA’s current efforts as they work to achieve that mission. Afternoon Speaker is Bob Newman, City of Burbank Homeless Outreach. He will talk about what is being done locally to expand the homeless outreach efforts to better serve those in need in Burbank.
