Berkeley BPW’s 2019 Woman of Achievement – Kirsten MacDonald

Kirsten MacDonald is the CEO of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, which exists to support its business members and the economy of Berkeley by providing education, advocacy and connection. Kirsten holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science as well as ranking in the Phi Beta Kappa political science honor society. Before joining the Chamber, Kirsten worked in a policy think tank that fostered track II diplomacy between countries on issues like climate change and water security. Founding a small business in her native New York, Kirsten is especially passionate about supporting women in business and has just launched a new Chamber membership program in January of 2018, Women Entrepreneurs of Berkeley (WEB). WEB strives to connect innovative women with the resources and networks they need to accelerate their businesses. Under Kirsten’s leadership, the Chamber has been committed to maintaining a relevant value proposition for its business members.
